corporate mission >>

The mission of BioTex is to explore, develop, and commercialize novel optical technologies for medical, biomedical, and environmental applications.

BioTex history >>

BioTex was formally founded and incorporated in early 1997 with the goal of bringing innovative optical technologies to the market place. This goal was originally pursued through the small business innovation research (SBIR) program, and BioTex received its first NIH SBIR award in late 1997. Since that time, BioTex has continued to develop a number of technologies through research grants from NIH, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the Department of Defense, and private industry. To date the company has raised over $8 million in funding and has a portfolio of promising medical technologies at various stages of development.
